I'm Ken Beck.  I'm the math teacher on the 8th grade "Jaguars" team.  I also teach Geometry.  (Some students on the team may have another teacher if they are enrolled in "telescoped math".)

I grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  I went to college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.

I have two sons.  Jonah is a senior (12th grade) and Toby is a sophomore (10th grade), both at Henry High School.  My wife, Sheri, works at the University of Minnesota as a transfer advisor at the College of Education and Human Development.  We also have a black lab named Pepper and three cats (Bella, Jazzy, and Freiheit)!

I've been teaching high school or middle school since 1995.  I have been teaching math in Minneapolis since 2001, and I've been at Sanford Middle School since 2010.

Some of my hobbies include reading, biking, photography, playing the guitar and ukulele, and playing games (Dungeons and Dragons, Magic:  The Gathering, Starfinder, Mage Wars, Talisman, and others).

You can e-mail me at Ken.Beck@mpls.k12.mn.us.  Thanks!
