Good Evening Sanford Families,

Wow- the year is going quickly, we are excited to start quarter 2 at Sanford.

Here are the Nov. Sanford Reminders:

Sanford Parent Group Meeting and Site Council

Thurs. Nov. 8th

Site Council 5:00-6:00pm

Sanford Parent Group Meeting 6:00-7:30pm

Media Center-2nd Floor

Site Council is a group of staff, parents and community members who provide support and advice to the principal and admin about policy and budget input with the shared goal of benefiting all students.

We are looking for parents who are interested to join us. We want our Site Council to be representative of our student body. Email mara.bernick@mpls.k12.mn or attend the first meeting.

Our Sanford Parent Group is looking for a new chair, co-chair and secretary (someone willing to take notes at the meetings for parents not able to attend). The commitment is attending most parent group meetings and being willing to advocate and create an agenda. This group is about you as parents/guardians and in order for it to function, we need parents to take the lead in what they want as topics, where is the best location to meet, and how best we can support you as parents as you navigate these middle school years with your student/students.

We are here to help and please reach out to your family liaisons with ideas, questions or comments.
