Tracy Walberg, School Counselor for 7th grade, Team Discovery, and 8th grade Team Tenacious

About Me:

I have worked for Minneapolis Public Schools since 2008 and became part of the Sanford Middle School staff in 2009.  I received my B.A. in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and my M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from New York University, NY.  I am a Licensed School Counselor for the state of Minnesota.

My role at Sanford is supporting our students and families in the following areas: academic success, transition into high school, transition into middle school, new student transition, My Life Plan (District Counseling Curriculum), and scheduling.

I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin and am a huge Packers fan.  My other hobbies include: traveling, being active, fishing, cooking, and reading.

Britt Pennington, School Counselor for 6th grade and 8th grade Team Jaguars

About Me:  I have been a licensed school counselor since 2010 and have worked for Minneapolis Public Schools for the past 6 years.  I received a B.A. in Sociology from Augsburg University and a M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.  I am thrilled to join the Sanford team this school year as the school counselor for 6th grade and 8th grade team Jaguars.  I love working with middle school students and look forward to a great school year!
