I'm Ken Beck.  I'm the math teacher on the 8th grade "Motivation" team.  I also teach Geometry.  (Some students on team Motivation may have Mr. Gordon for telescoped math.)

I grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  I went to college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.

I have two sons, both of whome are students in Minneapolis Public

Schools.  Jonah is an 11th grader and Toby is a 9th grader, both at Henry High School.  My wife, Sheri, works at the University of Minnesota as a transfer advisor at the College of Education and Human Development.  We also have a black lab named Pepper and three cats (Bella, Jazzy, and Freiheit)!

Some of my hobbies include reading, biking, photography, playing the guitar and ukulele, and playing games (Dungeons and Dragons, Magic:  The Gathering, and others).
